Founded in 2022, we are a pioneering company specializing in shoppable content and in-stream bonus feature technology tailored for video streaming services. Our mission is to enhance viewer engagement, generate actionable insights, and drive revenue for our partners in the streaming industry.
For each scene in a video, we create a comprehensive dataset, identifying details such as cast members, music, fashion, and interior design elements. These are then matched with shoppable products from the catalogs of online retailers, enabling viewers to interact and shop seamlessly.
Job Summary
The ML Research Engineer will play a crucial role in advancing and automating our data processing workflows. You will drive the development and implementation of innovative machine learning algorithms to automate the extraction and classification of data (cast, music, fashion, interior design items) from video content. This role requires a solid foundation in research combined with practical skills to deploy these solutions effectively, directly translating cutting-edge research into impactful features that enhance product success. Preference will be given to candidates willing and able to work onsite in our Potsdam/ Babelsberg office at least 50% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Solve product challenges and design algorithms aligned with business goals.
- Stay updated on ML advances (supervised, self-supervised, few-shot, contrastive learning)
- Manage, track, and document experiments for knowledge sharing and making it easy to revisit findings
- Rapidly prototype and build PoCs, scaling promising solutions.
- Train, evaluate, and deploy models using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
- Optimize models for performance and scalability
- Follow full ML project lifecycle, from research and prototyping to deployment and maintenance, ensuring solutions provide clear value to end users
YOUR PROFIL
- Collaborative and constructive mindset
- Programming Languages: Python, C++ (is a plus)
- Machine Learning Libraries/Frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLFlow, Tensorboard
- Model Deployment: CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, TensorRT, OpenVINO, ONNX, CUDA (is a plus)
- Web Frameworks: Flask, FastAPI
- Databases: SQL, PostgreSQL
- Cloud: AWS, Azure
- Proficiency in English
Nice to have
- Publications as the first or second author in top-tier conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, ICCV)
- Prior experience in the media industry
- Proficiency in German
